For those of you who do not know, the Midnight Run is a social action event, put on by SanETY (the temple's high school youth group), that builds a bridge between the homeless community and ours.  This is done through the collection of donations, from November to April.
On April 7, the night of the actual event, volunteers will come to the temple, make 600 sack lunches, organize all of the donations, then go to downtown San Diego to distribute them.  During distribution, volunteers are granted the opportunity to have meaningful interactions with people whose lives are tremendously different from theirs.
While we know we won't solve homelessness, we are working together to alleviate the loneliness of our suffering neighbors and to do our best to ensure that the generations to come are committed to ending this.

For the month of November, we will be collecting shorts, pants, and underwear (bottoms, new only)
Donations can be dropped off at the Temple Front Office, marked "Midnight Run."

Thank you all in advance for being the glue that holds the Midnight Run together through your support and donations.

Sam Lenett, SanETY's Social Action VP
