San Diego Jewish Men's Choir Concert
Music is the soul of the Jewish people. Our lives are touched by music continuously, and our people have been involved with music since the beginning of time. When King Saul was melancholy, he was cheered by the music of David, the shepherd. When King David wrote the Psalms he instructed a conductor to put them to music. King Solomon, the wisest of all men, culminated his writings with the Song of Songs.

Join us on Sunday, August 13 at 3 pm for an uplifting afternoon of well-loved Jewish music with the award-winning San Diego Jewish Men's Choir! The program will include selections from the choir's upcoming tour and from their two award-winning albums.

Doors open at 2:30 pm.  Concert starts at 3 pm.
General Admission: $18
Children: $10

Tickets will be available at the door.  Please bring exact change or a check.

Children's Books, New and Used

During October, we will collect children’s books for two San Diego projects.

Words Alive was founded on the belief that those who value reading and understand its connection to all aspects of life will thrive as lifelong learners. Words Alive also trains volunteers who help children in schools and at risk teens. Used books which are donated will go to this project.

Light One Little Candle was developed so that cancer patients could strengthen their bond with their children, grandchildren or others in their lives through reading together. Here in San Diego, books will be distributed through Moores Cancer Center at UCSD Medical Center. This project can only accept donations of unused books.

We are collecting books appropriate for children from infants through age 15, in either English or Spanish. Please note that books for children ages 10 – 15 are rarely donated.

Bring your book donations to the white barrel in the lobby of the Temple office building, and the Social Action Committee will sort and deliver them.
